The move comes as a direct result of the many blade-manufacturing contracts obtained by GE’s Bromont plant, chiefly for Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 series aircraft engines. The contracts generated sufficient business for Ellison to warrant opening a facility near GE, with which it has been working for 25 years. Headquartered in Ohio, Ellison is investing $5 million in the new plant, which is scheduled to start operating next October. It will create some 30 jobs in the process.
