Claudine Roy was appointed to the Board of Directors of Investissement Québec in February 2011.

 

She has been the owner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brise-Marine since 1987. 

 

In 2005, Ms. Roy acted as president of the financing fund for the Cornélius-Brotherton Foundation of Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles, and was named "personality of the year" by the Chambre de commerce du Grand Gaspé. In 2006, Bistro Brise-Bise, which she founded, garnered a "grand prix du tourisme québecois." The following year, she was awarded the title of "Citoyen émérite" by Célébrations Canada. In 2009, she was appointed to the board of directors of Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins. Ms. Roy has served as president of organizations such as the Corporation de développement des Fêtes de Gaspé, and helped the Traversée de la Gaspésie earn an international reputation. A business personality recognized for her contribution to Québec society, she was appointed Chevalière de l'Ordre national du Québec in 2010, and is considered by her peers as one of the 100 most influential women in Québec.

 

Ms. Roy is a director of numerous corporations and organizations, and has been a director of Le Devoir and Fondation SEDNA since 2010.

 

She holds a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of Ottawa and a certificate in education from the Université du Québec à Rimouski.
