The President and Chief Executive Officer of Investissement Québec, Jacques Daoust, will accompany the Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade, Raymond Bachand, at the Farnborough International Airshow to be held near London, July 14 to 20, 2008.
The Farnborough International Airshow brings together companies from every field of specialization in the aerospace industry, including design, manufacturing and related services. With more than 1 500 exhibitors and some 270 000 visitors, the airshow, which alternates with the Paris Air Show Le Bourget, in France, is the world's premier aerospace event.
The MDEIE and its partners, namely the Délégation générale du Québec à Londres, Investissement Québec, Montréal International, the Société générale de financement, the Association québécoise de l'aérospatiale and Aéro Montréal, will participate in this international event along with Québec companies. Minister Bachand will promote Québec's competitive advantages with senior executives of major industrial groups. Investissement Québec will be represented by Mr. Daoust at most of the meetings in Minister Bachand's program. In addition, Investissement Québec will host a cocktail reception, presided by Québec's Delegate General in London, for leaders of foreign and Québec companies.
