Schering-Plough Expands in Pointe-Claire
Pharmaceutical company Schering-Plough Canada has just announced that it will be investing $30.7 million to upgrade and expand its facility in Pointe-Claire. The expansion will allow the company to retain its 330 workers and hire about 30 more.


eCycle Solutions Sets Up Shop in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield
Alberta-based eCycle Solutions now has a recycling plant for electric and electronic products in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. The $6.2 million project — $4.9 million of which was used to purchase state-of-the-art equipment — will create about 40 jobs over the next two years.

Pogo Opens a Studio in Montréal
Pogo.com, a division of California-based giant Electronic Arts (EA) that specializes in online Flash games, has just opened a development studio in Montréal at the same premises as three other EA divisions: EA Montréal and BioWare Montréal, which produce games for new-generation consoles, and EA Mobile, which produces games for cell phones.
