The Sogeclair Group and Loiretech: Closer Ties with Clients and a Bridge to North America

June 18, 2013 - Today at the International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, Nicolas Marceau, Québec’s Minister of Finance and the Economy, announced two expansion projects for French aerospace companies, which Investissement Québec has been pleased to assist from the very beginning.

First, Loiretech Canada, a joint venture of the French company Loiretech and the Québec company Composites VCI, is coming to Mirabel. Second, a Canadian subsidiary of the Sogeclair Group will set up shop in Montréal.

Loiretech designs and manufactures moulding and tooling to form composite parts, notably moulding for the fuselage of CSeries aircraft. Composites VCI of Saint-Lin-Laurentides also specializes in composite parts.

The Sogeclair Group is a global leader in high-tech engineering. It is involved in the CSeries and Learjet programs by Bombardier.

Thanks to the two expansion projects, the Sogeclair Group and Loiretech can now form closer ties with their Québec clients and build a bridge to North America.

A growing number of innovative companies, many of which are French, are joining and invigorating Québec’s aerospace cluster. The newcomers can count on a series of attractive competitive advantages, particularly skilled workers from elite schools who can foster the many innovations developed by this cutting-edge sector. These companies can also rely on support from the Québec government and its agencies such as Investissement Québec.
