Montréal, June 27, 2012 - Jacques Daoust, President and Chief Executive Officer of Investissement Québec, announced today that Denis Williams has been appointed the new General Manager of Ressources Québec.

Denis Williams has nearly 25 years' experience in private investment with businesses. Known as a careful and conscientious investor and developer, Mr. Williams has taken part in numerous investments in the industrial sector during his career.

Since 2007, he has been responsible for expanding the role of Société générale de financement du Québec and, subsequently, Investissement Québec in the mining and materials sectors. He has also coordinated business development for the mining and materials sectors as well as the aerospace industry.

"I'm very pleased that Denis Williams has been appointed General Manager of Ressources Québec. He has the skills and know-how needed to lead the new Investissement Québec subsidiary. I'd like to thank him for accepting this new challenge," declared Jacques Daoust.

Mr. Williams commenced the position on June 26.

Ressources Québec, a new Investissement Québec subsidiary, specializes in the mining and hydrocarbon industries. The subsidiary will consolidate and spur government investment in projects carried out by mining companies and the hydrocarbon sector.
