Investissement Québec Invests $5 Million in Hibernum Creations

Montréal, November 11, 2014 – On the occasion of the Montréal International Game Summit, Jacques Daoust, Minister of the Economy, Innovation and Exports, proudly announced today that Investissement Québec has acquired a $5-million stake in Hibernum Creations, a company that specializes in developing video games and creating animations and visual effects. With this injection of capital, Investissement Québec becomes a major partner in the growth of Hibernum Creations and its plans to carry out promising new projects expected to create over 150 jobs in Québec by 2016.

Founded in 2005 by Frédérick Faubert, Hibernum Creations has played a central role in developing hundreds of video games ranging from big-budget AAA console releases to casual mobile games. Today, the company works with industry giants like Amazon, LEGO, Disney, Cartoon Network, Halfbrick, Mattel, DeNA and Wooga that require its expertise in developing games, animations and visual effects and creating and managing brands.
