The Industrial Assets Management Council Meets in Québec City

Date
September 13-17, 2014
Place
Québec City
Description

Investissement Québec launched a major investment prospecting operation by teaming up with professionals and decision-makers from the three levels of government to co-host a major conference of large American businesses with frequent expansion projects. The conference was held in Québec City from September 13 to 17.

On September 12, just before the convention got under way, a dozen site locators conducted industrial visits in Montréal, an initiative coordinated with Montréal International. Site locators are very important for local economies since they yield considerable influence in determining where international businesses choose to expand.

Participants in the IAMC convention enjoyed a first-hand look at Québec’s competitive advantages. They also had access to business development professionals who answered their questions and made sure that investment projects were handled efficiently and effectively.

For many of the attendees, it was a first visit to Montréal and Québec City as well as a rare opportunity to discover the many charms and attributes of both cities.

A team of investment professionals led by Luc Carignan, Investissement Québec’s Director for the Americas and Asia, worked hand in hand with representatives from both governments and the cities of Montréal and Québec to develop effective working relations with IAMC members, men and women who are responsible for the growth of some of the most outstanding American businesses.
