Morgan Stanley at the “Montréal: Alive with the International” Forum

On April 27, Montréal was the setting of the strategic forum “Montréal: Alive with the International,” organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montréal, Montréal International and Investissement Québec. This activity, which drew over 500 participants to Montréal, identified concrete ways to boost the city’s connectivity to the rest of the world, with the double aim of attracting foreign capital and expanding the global reach of Québec companies.

Éric Dequenne, Investissement Québec’s Vice-President of International Affairs, sat down to speak with Alan Vesprini, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley’s Montréal Technology Centre.

It was against this backdrop that Éric Dequenne, Investissement Québec’s Vice-President of International Affairs, sat down to speak with Alan Vesprini, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley’s Montréal Technology Centre. Taking the form of an interview, the activity highlighted the main reasons why the multinational chose Montréal for its financial technology development centre: the availability of a specialized workforce, the city’s excellent universities, the advantageous tax regime and, of course, the presence of an information technology cluster.
