Cybersecurity leader I-TRACING rolls out services in Montréal

The French company is counting on Montréal’s expertise to continue its expansion

Montréal and Paris, October 14, 2020 — I-TRACING, the first French company to specialize in cybersecurity, expands its global coverage with the launch of a subsidiary in Montréal, Canada. The company plans to hire some twenty cybersecurity specialists over the next three years. The Montréal team, which already runs a security operations centre (SOC) as well as ongoing managed services, will focus on the North American market.

Concept of digital transformation. Binary code.

I-TRACING, whose expertise is put to good use by major companies around the world, offers a comprehensive range of cybersecurity services. Services include audits and penetration testing up to detection and incident response, through to consulting, engineering and managed services for security solutions. In order to meet the needs of international clients, the company adopted the follow-the-sun?strategy, which allows it to deliver services on an ongoing basis. “With the Montréal subsidiary, we are now on three continents. We provide monitoring, SOC and security managed services to our clients 24/7,” says Laurent Besset, Head of Cyberdefence at I-TRACING.

Montréal was the natural choice. The Montréal region is one of the IT industry leaders in North America. The city enjoys an ecosystem that is conducive to innovation as universities offer computer science and cybersecurity programs that are training new highly skilled workers every year. “Montréal’s open-mindedness and collaborative ecosystem perfectly match I-TRACING’s values and give us the leeway to continue offering personalized services that best suit the needs of our clients,” states Sophie Pasquier, head of business development and recruitment at the Canadian subsidiary.

Montréal is also strategically located as several of the company’s major clients are on the U.S. East Coast. “Cybersecurity has no borders. We must support our clients wherever they are. I-TRACING’s expansion in Montréal is also an opportunity for change, learning and discovery. We truly believe that the actual worth of a company hinges on the women and men who make up the company,” says Théodore-Michel Vrangos, co-founder and President of I-TRACING.

“Cybersecurity is certainly an industry of the future. The metropolitan area has 17,000 workers in this field, including several world-renowned researchers. Greater Montréal also has the highest number of cybersecurity research chairs in Canada. Therefore, the region has everything it needs to become a leader in this industry,” states Stéphane Paquet, President and CEO of Montréal International.

“For several months now, our team has been working closely with the French company to help them settle in Montréal," said Hubert Bolduc, President of Investissement Québec International. The city’s reputation is well established in the IT industry, and businesses in the cybersecurity sector are sure to find here an ecosystem that will help them bring their ideas to life and propel them forward.”
