Held just outside London, the Farnborough International Airshow is this year’s largest aerospace trade show. The biennial event alternates with the International Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, near Paris.
In 2012, Farnborough drew over 1,450 exhibitors from 45 countries. A remarkable 107,000 industry visitors attended the show, while transactions amounted to US$72 billion.
As a global aerospace leader, Québec will be an active participant with a stand representing over 20 innovative companies and major partners like Investissement Québec, Montréal International and Aéro Montréal. The strong Québec presence, coordinated by the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et des Exportations, will reinforce the impact of major players with operations in Québec like Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney Canada and Mecachrome Canada.
Thanks to the numerous private meetings and targeted networking activities that the airshow makes possible, the event is certain to be the nerve centre of the global aerospace industry in 2014.
Recognized for its innovative drive and creativity, Québec is one of the global leaders in the aerospace industry, attracting major international companies such as Bell Helicopter Textron, Bombardier Aerospace, CAE, Pratt & Whitney Canada and many others. Montréal is Québec’s largest city and one of the world’s top three aeronautics hubs, alongside Seattle and Toulouse. Read more.
