MOVIN’ON, which has been called the “Davos of mobility”, brought together thousands of participants from academia, politics and business in Montreal from May 30 to June 1.

This extraordinary event was a forum for discussions and collaborations that will make it possible to address the major global challenge of clean, safe, and universally accessible mobility.

Investissement Québec, the event’s partner, was on site to support innovative client companies such as Wattman Trains and Trams Inc. from Montréal’s South Shore, as well as through its international team that was mobilized for the event to meet with major foreign groups likely to invest in Québec’s transportation and mobility sector.

Ms. Monique F. Leroux, chair of the Board of Directors of Investissement Québec and a member of the Board of Directors of Michelin, the event’s organizer, participated in the 2018 edition. She served first as a moderator of a session at the main venue alongside Ms. Kocher, Executive Director of ENGIE, then as a host at the Decision Makers’ Dinner, co-organized by Investissement Québec and Montréal International.

The dinner, which was attended by many prestigious Québec and foreign figures involved in MOVIN'ON, was an opportunity to discuss topics such as “coopetition,” a concept involving collaboration among competing groups, since solutions to mobility issues can only emerge from strong collaboration between public and private stakeholders.

MOVIN’ON welcomed 4,000 participants from 31 countries to Montréal, all committed to achieving sustainable mobility.
