Nathalie Rivard, head of Investissement Québec’s Los Angeles office, accompanied Minister of Economy and Innovation Pierre Fitzgibbon’s mission at the CES, which was held from January 8 to 11, in Las Vegas.
The mission presented Québec’s knowhow to potential buyers from around the world. It was composed of some fifty Québec companies including LeddarTech, a flagship company specializing in optical detection equipment, which is used in self-driving vehicles, among other things.
Ms. Rivard took the opportunity to arrange meetings between the Minister and senior managers of several innovative technology companies including Virgin Hyperloop One.
CES is one of the most popular events in the world presenting innovation and new technologies designed for businesses and the general public. Last year, the show welcomed approximately 180,000 visitors and 4,000 companies.
