On June 15, fifty executives of foreign subsidiaries with establishments in Québec participated in the official launch of Subsidiary Network 2.0, which took place at Le Westin Montréal.
Created in 2009 exclusively for managers of subsidiaries, the Subsidiary Network was set up to promote exchanges of information with a view to finding concrete solutions for the challenges and issues facing subsidiaries. The team from the International Subsidiaries Department was on the spot to remind participants of the essential role Investissement Québec plays with its partners in attracting strategic projects to foster the growth, long-term sustainability and success of subsidiaries in Québec.
In a short speech, Chantal Malo, Vice-President, International Affairs, welcomed the subsidiary executives and reminded them of the important role international subsidiaries play in bringing foreign investments to Québec.
For his part, Éric Dequenne, Director of International Subsidiaries, mentioned some highlights in the Network’s development since it was created and took the opportunity to present the members of the advisory committee who were in attendance. He also revealed the upcoming activities for the 2016–2017 season, including the planned launch of Subsidiary Network 2.0 in Québec City on September 20 and the presentation of its services next October, and introduced a topic that leaves nobody indifferent: transfer pricing.
Michel Péladeau, Director of Finance at Ericsson, explained why he is involved in the Network. He also shared his experiences and satisfaction with the services Ericsson had received from Investissement Québec in the course of its investment projects in the province.
