SOQUEM, a subsidiary of Investissement Québec, is a leading player in mineral exploration in Québec. It has contributed to or facilitated major discoveries of diamonds, gold, apatite, lithium and other minerals. Take the Stornoway Diamond Corporation diamond deposit that SOQUEM recently helped discover, soon to become the first diamond mine in Québec. SOQUEM was also involved in the discovery of the Mine Arnaud apatite deposit and the lithium deposit at the Moblan project.

All across Québec, SOQUEM is constantly seeking out new metal and mineral deposits with economic development potential. It forges new partnerships every year with junior and major mining companies to get new exploration efforts off the ground in Québec.
